International Business Delegation in Tokyo

We were delighted to welcome a delegation of 30 students and professors to Tokyo this past week!

The group consisted of undergraduate and graduate students, as well as faculty, from across the USA.

In the first part of the program, we took the delegates on a tour of Shibuya QWS —one of Japan's premier innovation spaces — which was full of startups and creatives building new projects. The delegation had a chance to meet with Japanese entrepreneurs developing new products and services, such as a startup developing digital business cards to reduce paper waste.

Representative Director Robin Lewis then conducted a seminar focusing on social business, social innovation and corporate sustainability, and introduced several startups and companies working to solve societal challenges in Japan and beyond.

This was followed by a lively discussion, where the delegates shared their perspectives, experiences and questions about how business can be a force for good, and the role of business in the Japanese context.

It was an immense pleasure meeting everyone, and we look forward to further collaborations with students and delegations in the future!
