TechForGood Hackathon, 10th July 2022

Social Innovation Japan is co-hosting a TechForGood Hackathon on 10th July 2022 in Tokyo (日本語以下).

mymizu - our crowdsourced initiative to eliminate plastic waste - will soon be going opensource, and we’re looking for Software Engineers passionate about positive impact to co-create the future with us!

To kick things off, we’re hosting a Hackathon in Tokyo on July 10th in collaboration with @codechrysalis, where software engineers can contribute their skills towards ending plastic waste and promoting sustainability via this 1-day intensive hackathon!

To scale up our impact, we’ll be launching an open-source web app for mymizu that will enable anyone to search our global, 200,000-strong refill spot network from their browser, but also to develop and test out new ideas and features (e.g. filtering refill spots, live community stats, etc)

誰もが貢献できるサステナブルな未来づくり：mymizuのオープンソース化 & 新たな挑戦に関わりたいソフトウェアエンジニアを募集！

mymizuはコミュニティの力で生まれたプラットフォームです。2019年にmymizuアプリをローンチしてから、「こんなことができたらいいのに」と様々なアイディアを多くいただいてきました。

今回、それらの素敵なアイディアを実現するための新たなチャレンジを始めます。。。それが、mymizuウェブ版の開発！

誰もが気軽に参加しより大きなインパクトを残せるよう、mymizuアプリは、一般のウェブブラウザーから利用できるmymizuウェブ版に生まれ変わります。また、オープンソースという誰もが貢献できる形にし、新機能の開発や実証実験など、「給水が当たり前」な世界を実現するための工夫をしていこうと思っています！

当プロジェクトを始めるにあたり、7月10日（日）に、仲間のCode Chrysalis と東京・元麻布にてハッカソンを開催します。詳しくは以下のリンクをご覧ください！
